Pleat consists of at least box pleated, tailored pleat, goblet pleat, and pinch pleated, all of which are distinguished by the shape of the upper part of the window curtain. Box pleated, for example, has box-shaped pleats. Tailored pleat is a window curtain in which every three folds are sewn at the top so that they are conical. While the pleat curtains tie three folds and are shaped in such a way that it resembles the shape of a cup.

Pinch pleated itself is considered the most decorative and can consist of three, four to five folds but the shape is still balanced. However, more folds mean it is thicker and requires more fabric.
